Our company formed an alliance with Sumitomo Chemical Co. at
the beginning of 1980
and has commissioned the latter to produce large-scale products under a preemptive
contract
ensuring our exclusive right to sell these products.

Having applied
for international patents, we are presently
promoting joint efforts to develop
several large-scale products. Accordingly, annual transaction amounts between
the
companies have increased to ¥1 billion. (Some transactions are made through
Mitsubishi
Corp.)
Our company also entered into an agency agreement with Rhodia Organic Corp. and
started
marketing of Vanilline, Ethyl Vanilline and Methyl Vanilline Salicylic family
chemicals,
internationally acknowledged large-scale products supplied by the latter, as
the sole agent in
Japan in FY2002 for further expansion of sales. |

the Odawara Factory to
rationalize its management
by concentrating on the
product items that would
remain consistently competitive
into the future.
